As a practice every Mehdavi will visit all his relatives, friends & neighbors saying
"Bola Chala Maaf Karo. Vaste Allah ke"
(forgive me for the sake of Allah).
And in reply the listener will say
"My Maaf Kiya Tum Bhi Maaf Karo Vaste Allah Ke"
(I have forgiven you, you also forgive me for the sake of Allah)
and the listener will offer sharbat to drink.
